Scots Junior Grading
WHAT HAPPENS:
Every player will get the chance to play in their nominated positions at least once, though they may occasionally be asked to fill other positions as needed. Our experienced graders assess each player’s skills, potential, experience and preferred positions to place them in the team that suits them best—because a team full of WDs won’t work for anyone!
After grading, we do our best to accommodate friend requests. Thank you for your patience and support as we work to make the best decisions for our players and our club.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
We’re here to play netball and have fun. There may be some waiting as we ensure everyone gets a fair chance to play, but we’ll keep things moving as efficiently as possible.
Talk to your child beforehand—nerves are normal, and this is just another game of netball. Every player has skills, and everyone will be placed in a team. Grading isn’t about being “good” or “bad”; it’s about understanding each player so we can put them where they’ll fit and grow best.
What matters most is that they show up, try their best, and enjoy the experience.
