Without volunteers, our club would cease to exist, and it's these wonderful people that give their time and care to enable all our members to enjoy netball. 

Committee Members will always be available at the courts on a Saturday to support you - if you see us, come and say hi!

Meet our 2026 Committee

    Greg Nottage

    PRESIDENT

    Presides over and chairs committee meetings, provides insight and instruction for all club activities, supports all committee members, serves as a spokesperson for the club and helps coaches and managers with player and parent management

    I became involved with the club in 2017, when my eldest daughter started in Net Set Go. I have been the club’s Secretary and Coaches Development Officer before taking on my current role. I love the family atmosphere at Scots, and that we are inclusive to all and represent our communities.

    VICE PRESIDENT

    Works closely with the President and Executive Committee to support our members in any way needed.

    I have been playing for Scots since I was 13 years old. I started coaching for Scots in 2018 and have been the Vice President since 2023. I play and also coach a SDNA representative team. The thing that make Scots such a great club is that we are all very passionate about netball as well as supporting young people. At Scots we always take into account each player and are happy to support them as best we can.

    Simone D’Astoli

    TREASURER

    Manages all financial needs for the club.

    “I became involved when my eldest wanted to play netball with her friends at Scots. I then went on to play and coach around 2015. I still play and coach.

    One word "FAMILY" describes why we love being part of the club. We were welcomed straight away and made lots of friends whom also share our love for the sport of Netball and where everyone knows your name. We have met some like-minded people of whom I consider to be friends for life.”

    Trish Whelan

    SECRETARY

    Is the main point of contact for the club, managing the administration, correspondence and systems for the club.

    I started with Scots in 2012 as a player, then began coaching, before joining the committee and eventually taking on the role of Secretary in 2015. I still play! Scots is a wonderful club and community that I love being a part of – I’ve made lifelong friends here! “

    ASSISTANT SECRETARY

    Supports the Secretary and manages the website

    “My daughter Paris started in NetSetGo 2023. In 2024 I was a Rookie Coach and had a beautiful team of U10's for winter and twilight competition. Scots promotes being a 'good sport' and kids thrive under great coaches and management. The people and family atmosphere is great. Friendly people who love kids sport and are so inclusive.”

    MEMBERS PROTECTION OFFICER

    Ensures the safe and fun environment for all our members is maintained through policy and process management.

    “My daughters joined Scots netball in 2020 and were welcomed with open arms. I have been on the Scots Committee for over 4 years and have previously held the role of Treasurer. In 2026 I look forward to continuing on the committee to help support this great club.

    Develops the NetSetGo training activities for our newest netballers and supports the coaches within the program.

    Sarah Cole

    SENIOR TEAM LIAISON

    Is the main point of contact and club support for all senior players and teams.

    “I joined Scots in 2016 as a player for Hamilton in S1 when I moved to the area. I have won four premierships with Scots. I have coached Juniors for two seasons and have also been the team organiser for my own team for the past few years. The Scots Committee has always been very approachable, responsive and helpful. Hamilton has always been a great team to play on and we enjoy our time together on and off the court.”

    COACHES CONVENER

    Supports, sources and develops coaches for the club.

    “I have been with Scots since 2019 when my eldest daughter first started playing. Interested parent since 2016 and passionate coach to many! Scots has a great family environment.”

    COACHES DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

    Supports the Coaches Convenor and develops coaches for the club.

    “I’ve been with Scots since 2014. I got involved through my friends playing, and having Scots players work at my primary school. I play and coach for Scots. I love the community and family we have at Scots. Everybody is so welcoming and supportive to one another.”

    UMPIRES CONVENOR

    Works with the Umpires Development Officer to support and source our club umpires, as well as managing the weekly umpire schedule.

    UMPIRES DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

    Supports, sources and develops our club umpires, as well as managing the weekly umpire schedule.

    “In 2026 it will be my 15th year playing with the club and my 12th year umpiring. I have been coaching and mentoring umpires for 6 years and have had many successful badges. I have been on the St George umpires committee before and I play and umpire and coach/mentor umpires. I like the community between everyone and especially the little friendly community I have created with my umpires.”

    SOCIAL MEDIA COORDINATOR

    As the name suggests, coordinates all our social media platforms and engagement.

    “I began playing netball on the grass courts in 2014. Scots is such a welcoming netball club with really experienced and enthusiastic coaches. I really enjoy the social aspect of netball, playing sport with my friends on Saturday’s and being competitive is always a lot of fun.”

    Fleur Franich

    AWARDS COORDINATOR

    Organises and manages all awards for our players.

    “I started as parent to a player in 2012, as a player from 2013 and as a coach and committee member from 2014. I have held positions of Treasurer and Secretary on the Scots committee, now on general committee. In addition to still playing, I have had many roles over the years in the SDNA executive.

    The Scots Netball Club has been a great community to nurture all aspects of the game of netball. It embraces and welcomes players of all abilities. Personally, I have forged a great relationship with my girls, aged 4 and 9 when we first joined Scots, through the shared interest in the sport of netball. I have watched them grow and enjoy the experience of being part of an amazing club that values them.”

    Robert Folwell

    UNIFORM & APPAREL COORDINATOR

    Manages the uniforms and other apparel for the club.

    I have been with the club for over 16years. I was introduced to the club by Steve Trevitt (life member) when I was supplying their uniforms, When my daughters were old enough to play we naturally joined Scots.I have been on the Scots committee for most of this time and also spent several years as Senior Rep Coordinator for SDNA. Scots is a very friendly club and everyone helps out.”

    CLUB PATRON

    Born and raised in Arncliffe, Dianne has been a member of the Arncliffe Scots Netball Club for 54 years.

    None of the current success of the club would be possible without the members that have come before us, in particular Dianne.

    Dianne is an invaluable member of our club, she has been reliable, approachable, passionate, and not lost her enthusiasm over the last 5 decades.

    Dianne’s unwavering support, encouragement, and the time she has devoted to our wonderful club is what makes us so proud to have her as our Club Patron!

    GENERAL COMMITTEE MEMBER

    “I started playing netball when I was five years old with NetSetGo and have kept on playing ever since. I joined the Scots club in 2021. I’ve played on three grand final winning teams at the club and I’m looking forward to continuing my involvement through the committee.”
